The plan to salvage Chrysler will remakse the company into one ownec 55 percent by a unionpensioj trust, 20 percent owned by Fiat -- a sharre that could grow to 35 percentf -- and the rest ownef by the governments of the Unitedx States and Canada.
Fiat cannot obtain a majorit y stake in Chrysler until all taxpayer fundesare repaid. "This is a very significant day, not only for Chrysleer and itsdedicated employees, who have perseveredf through a great deal of uncertaintu during the past year, but for the global automotive industry as a whole," said Sergil Marchionne, who was named CEO of Chryslee Group, in a statement. UC Davis and plaintiffs Kelse Brust, Jessica Bulala and Laura Ludwig settled the lawsuir that was filed twoyears ago, and was certified as a clasz action in October. The settlemeny establishes a set of standards for femalwe participation rates in varsityu sports at UC Davis and provides additional financial support for club sports at the a newsrelease said. The settlement must be approvedf bythe U.S. District Cour in Sacramento after members of the class have been notified of thespecific terms. Brust and Bulala played club fielxd hockey. Ludwig had wrestling experience and playedsclub rugby. They brought suit in July 2007 under the 1972Patsty T.
